What you can expect

Full time / 6 months from Jan to June or Jul to Dec

Hong Kong Branch is our gateway to Northeast Asia. Established in 1979 and with approx. 60 employees, we have a longstanding expertise in Asia with product specialists in the fields of trade and export finance and project finance. But we also offer advisory for corporate customers of our group with regards to financing their investment and expansion plans in the region. We give our customers access to the Chinese market through the representative office in Beijin g and offer a customer relationship management for our customers in Hong Kong.


The Risk Controlling intern will gain basic risk controlling knowledge through guidance of experienced risk controllers, including the business activities of our bank, latest development of the risk controlling practices and application of industrywide risk systems.


Your tasks are to:
– Preparing the daily Profit and Loss Report for Treasury
– Supporting the FX cash position monitoring process
– Compiling the VaR Reports and other market risk reports
– Monitoring liquidity risk position in cooperation with Frankfurt
– Recording market information
– Any other ad hoc controlling relating duties as instructed by the Manager

Requirements

– Minimum 2nd year university student in a quantitative degree
– Proficient in MS Excel; basic VBA programming skill is preferred
– Fluent in English
– Numerically literate and attention to details
