Hong Kong Branch is our gateway to Northeast Asia. Established in 1979 and with approx. 60 employees, we have a longstanding expertise in Asia with product specialists in the fields of trade and export finance and project finance. But we also offer advisory for corporate customers of our group with regards to financing their investment and expansion plans in the region. We give our customers access to the Chinese market through the representative office in Beijing and offer a customer relationship management for our customers in Hong Kong.

Your Tasks

  1. Product specialist for payments solutions in corporate banking products, including complete professional account management and consulting for corporate clients regarding payment solutions in DZ BANK Hong Kong Branch
  2. Active sales of Hong Kong transaction banking products in close collaboration with the relationship manager, including the preparation and presentation of offers
  3. Self-responsible management of contract negotiations for payment solutions
  4. Systematic development and maintenance of sustainable existing customer relationships in corporate banking with a focus on transaction banking products in an international environment, in close collaboration with the relationship manager
  5. Professional presentation and explanation of transaction banking products, services, and offers to customers
  6. Organization and hosting of workshops on new and innovative topics in payment transactions
  7. Cross-selling to local customers, including transitioning customers to the German market in close collaboration with the relationship manager
  8. Analysis and development of tailor-made solutions in the context of international payment transactions, establishment of new transaction banking products in the branches as well as establishment of new and optimization of existing processes.
  9. Strategic consulting on international payment processes, and responsibility for day-to-day support for internal and external payment inquiries, including EBICS and online banking setup and support for corporate clients in HK.
  10. Cross-functional collaboration with national and international departments
  11. Close cooperation with the German Desks, product management, IT, risk management, compliance, and other relevant internal departments within the DZ BANK Group to ensure the seamless implementation and support of customer solutions
  12. Constant monitoring of relevant markets and competitive activities, as well as identification of trends and new business opportunities
  13. Participation in industry events, conferences, and trade fairs to strengthen DZ BANK's market presence in Hong Kong 

Your Profile

  • At minimum, 5 years of product and sales experience in the payments sector
  • Highly familiar with modern, international cash management solutions
  • Practical understanding of the local/regional economic area and the relevant target market, including the specific regulatory framework, payment habits, and competitive situation
  • Good knowledge of the range of products and services in all international business and international corporate client business
  • Extensive expert knowledge of international payment and cash management products, including current market trends, innovations, and process digitalization, especially for Hong Kong
  • Digital mindset and innovative ideas related to transaction management
  • Willingness to travel frequently, especially for customer visits in HK and trade fairs as well as industry events in Hong Kong; as well as occasionally also in Germany
  • Good business fluency in both German and English is required.
  • Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
